Jonathan Levin
Career, Chief Talent Officer
Mr. Jonathan Levin is the Philip H. Knight Professor and Dean of Stanford Graduate School of Business. He is known for his scholarship in industrial organization.
His recent research has focused on internet platforms, the health care system, and ways to incorporate new datasets into economic research.
Dean Levin received the John Bates Clark Medal in 2011 as the economist under the age of 40 working in the United States who made the most significant contribution to economic thought and knowledge.
Beyond Stanford, he has served as an elected member of the American Economic Association’s Executive Committee, and he was named a World Economic Forum Young Global Leader.
He earned a BS in math and a BA in English from Stanford in 1994, a Master of Philosophy in economics from Oxford University in 1996, and a PhD in economics from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1999.
